Former President and NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has pledged to introduce duty-free car loans for teachers and health workers if elected.
Speaking as part of his campaign engagements, Mahama stated that the initiative would be aimed at improving the welfare of educators and healthcare professionals across the country. According to him, the policy would help ease transportation challenges faced by workers in the two critical sectors.
He emphasized that teachers and health workers play a vital role in national development and deserve better support and incentives. The proposed duty-free car loan scheme, he said, would form part of broader measures to enhance working conditions and motivate public sector employees.
The announcement has added to ongoing campaign discussions as political parties outline their policies ahead of the elections.
