A court has remanded two alleged landguards and 12 National Security officers in connection with the illegal demolition of more than 60 buildings at Gomoa Akoti.
The suspects are accused of participating in or facilitating the unauthorized destruction of properties within the community. The demolitions reportedly left several residents displaced and sparked outrage among affected property owners.
According to reports, the court ordered that the accused persons be held in custody pending further investigations and legal proceedings. The case has drawn significant public attention, raising concerns about land disputes and the involvement of security personnel in demolition exercises.
