GRA Intercepts 12 Articulated Trucks Over Suspected Transit Violations

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has intercepted 12 articulated trucks over suspected transit violations.

According to reports, the trucks were flagged during routine monitoring operations aimed at ensuring compliance with customs and transit regulations. The vehicles are believed to have breached transit procedures, which are designed to regulate the movement of goods through Ghana to neighboring countries.

Transit violations often involve issues such as diversion of goods, improper documentation, or failure to follow approved routes. Such breaches can result in revenue losses and undermine trade regulations.

The GRA has indicated that investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of the violations and to apply the appropriate sanctions where necessary. The Authority has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening border control measures and safeguarding national revenue.
