President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians that his government will take a firm and decisive position following the receipt of the Bawku peace mediation report presented by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Speaking after receiving the report at the Jubilee House, President Mahama described the mediation process as thorough and significant, noting that it reflects months of engagement aimed at resolving the long-standing chieftaincy conflict in the Upper East Region.
He emphasized that the time has come to move from dialogue to action, stressing that peace in Bawku remains a national priority. The President further assured that the government will carefully study the recommendations and act in the best interest of lasting peace and stability.
