SOME ROADS IN ACCRA TO BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR 69TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY


 The Ghana Police Service has announced that several roads in Accra will be temporarily closed on Friday, March 6, 2026, as part of security and traffic arrangements for the 69th Independence Anniversary celebrations.

According to the police, the temporary road closures are intended to ensure public safety, maintain order, and allow smooth organization of activities related to the national celebration.

Motorists and the general public are advised to take note of the affected routes and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience. Police officers will be deployed at strategic points to direct traffic and assist road users during the period.

Authorities have also urged the public to cooperate with security personnel and comply with all traffic directives to ensure a successful and incident-free Independence Day celebration.
