MOJTABA KHAMENEI ELECTED AS IRAN’S NEW SUPREME LEADER

Mojtaba Khamenei, the eldest son of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has reportedly been elected as the new Supreme Leader of Iran following his father’s death.

According to reports, the 56-year-old cleric was chosen to succeed his father after consultations among Iran’s key religious and political authorities. His selection marks a significant moment in Iran’s leadership transition, as he takes over one of the most powerful positions in the country’s political and religious structure.

Mojtaba Khamenei has long been considered an influential figure within Iran’s political system, though he has largely maintained a low public profile compared to other senior clerics.

As Supreme Leader, he will assume ultimate authority over Iran’s major state institutions, including the armed forces, judiciary, and key aspects of national policy. His leadership will be closely watched both within Iran and internationally as the country navigates its next phase of governance and regional relations.
