GHANA NATIONAL FIRE SERVICE TO MEET STAKEHOLDERS OVER RISING TANKER CRASHES

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has announced plans to engage fuel haulage stakeholders to address growing safety concerns following a recent increase in tanker crashes across the country.

According to the Fire Service, the meeting will bring together key players in the fuel transportation sector to discuss practical measures aimed at improving road safety and preventing future accidents involving fuel tankers.

Authorities say the discussions will focus on strengthening safety protocols, improving driver training, and ensuring strict compliance with regulations governing the transportation of petroleum products.

The move comes after several incidents involving fuel tankers raised concerns about public safety, environmental risks, and the need for stronger oversight within the fuel haulage industry.

The Fire Service hopes the engagement will lead to collaborative solutions that enhance safety on Ghana’s roads and reduce the risk of deadly tanker-related accidents.
