Ghana Medical Trust Fund Supports 35 Patients with Non-Communicable Diseases
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund, popularly known as MahamaCares, has provided financial and medical support to 35 individuals living with non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
This was disclosed by the Administrator of the Fund, Obuobia Darko-Opoku, who highlighted the initiative’s ongoing commitment to assisting patients battling chronic health conditions.
Non-communicable diseases such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and other long-term illnesses continue to place significant financial strain on affected individuals and their families. The support offered through the Trust Fund aims to ease that burden by providing critical assistance for treatment and care.
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund was established to help vulnerable citizens access healthcare services, particularly in cases where treatment costs are beyond their financial reach.
Officials say the Fund remains committed to expanding its reach and supporting more patients across the country.
