FDA Shuts Down 16 Food Service Facilities Over Hygiene Permit Violations

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has shut down 16 food service facilities for failing to comply with hygiene permit requirements.

The enforcement action follows inspections conducted by the Authority, which revealed that the affected establishments were operating without the necessary hygiene permits or had failed to meet required public health standards.

According to the FDA, the closures form part of ongoing efforts to ensure food safety and protect public health. The Authority emphasized that all food service providers are required by law to obtain valid hygiene permits and adhere strictly to sanitation regulations.

The FDA has urged operators of food establishments to regularize their documentation and maintain proper hygiene standards to avoid sanctions. The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to continuous monitoring and enforcement to safeguard consumers across the country.
