President John Mahama says it’s too early to shut down the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
This follows growing calls for the office to be dissolved over alleged underperformance.
Mahama argues the OSP is still needed to fight corruption independently of the Attorney-General’s Office. He admits the institution has challenges but believes it should be given more time to deliver results.
For him, the priority is strengthening the OSP — not scrapping it.
