Asiedu Nketiah Defends Security Recruitment Rejections with ‘Police and Thief’ Analogy 🛡️🇬🇭
National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has sparked debate after defending the mass disqualification of applicants in the ongoing security service recruitment exercise.
Speaking on the issue, Asiedu Nketiah used a “police and thief” analogy, arguing that not everyone who applies can become a police officer. According to him, society requires balance, and security services cannot accept all applicants despite the high interest.
He questioned how over 500,000 applicants could all become police officers, noting that recruitment must remain selective to maintain effectiveness within the security services.
His comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with some supporting the logic behind limited recruitment slots while others criticize the comparison as controversial.
