Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has revealed that his widely publicised “Common Lambo” incident cost him a major investor for his ride-hailing venture, Shaxi.
In an exclusive revelation, the musician explained that the controversy surrounding the luxury Lamborghini affected investor confidence in the Shaxi brand. According to him, what many saw as a show of success and lifestyle branding ended up creating setbacks behind the scenes.
“Because of Common Lambo, I lost a big investor,” Shatta Wale stated, highlighting how public perception and social media narratives can influence business partnerships.
Shaxi, launched as a transport and ride-hailing service aimed at creating opportunities for drivers, has faced challenges since its introduction. Shatta Wale has, however, maintained that he remains committed to the project despite the financial and reputational hurdles.
The artiste’s comments have sparked fresh conversations about celebrity branding, business ventures, and the impact of public image on investment decisions.
