Mahama Accuses Akufo-Addo Government of Criminally Handling the Economy

President John Dramani Mahama has criticized the previous Akufo-Addo administration, describing its management of the economy as criminal.

Speaking on the state of the nation’s finances, Mahama stated that while many Ghanaians were aware the economy was in crisis, some of the details he has uncovered since assuming office suggest what he termed a “criminal handling” of the situation.

According to the President, the extent of the economic challenges goes beyond what was publicly known, raising concerns about how the country’s financial affairs were managed under the former government.

His remarks are likely to intensify political debate, as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and supporters of the previous administration may respond to the allegations.

The comments come amid ongoing efforts by the current government to stabilize the economy and address fiscal challenges facing the country.
