Arhinful: I Wanted Ghana to Face England Before the Draw

Former Black Stars striker Augustine Arhinful says he always hoped that Ghana national football team would draw England national football team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup — and his wish came true.

After the draw placed Ghana in Group L alongside England, Croatia national football team and Panama national football team, he said he believes Ghana can compete with England, provided they prepare well.

Despite England’s strength, Arhinful urged fans and players to stay confident — saying that with strategy, focus, and determination, Ghana has a real shot at making an impact.
